Crane SAUNDERS®
Leads the Way

Aseptic diaphragm valves deliver contamination-free flow control across pharmaceutical and biotech production lines, with the hygienic design regulators and validation engineers expect. Proconex supplies a full range of Crane SAUNDERS® aseptic and sanitary diaphragm valves, including the M-VUE intelligent sensor and the Henosis EX universal diaphragm.

Where are aseptic diaphragm valves used?

Aseptic diaphragm valves handle product-contact applications where preventing contamination is non-negotiable. They’re used across bioprocessing equipment and clean steam systems, including fill-finish applications. Hygienic diaphragm valves are also common in vaccine manufacturing and other sterile fluid pathways that need to withstand repeated SIP and CIP cycles, including cell and gene therapy production.

FAQs

A sanitary diaphragm valve is built for hygienic processes where contamination needs to be controlled. An aseptic diaphragm valve goes further, meeting the stricter sterility standards pharmaceutical manufacturing demands.

Valve bodies are usually 316L stainless steel with electropolished surfaces. Diaphragms are made from PTFE backed with EPDM, or newer compound materials engineered for longer service life.

Proconex offers lifecycle support covering sizing and installation, plus ongoing diaphragm replacement as part of routine maintenance.
