It Takes a Virtual Village to Advance New Candidate Drugs to Clinical Trials

It Takes a Virtual Village to Advance New Candidate Drugs to Clinical Trials

Our global pharmaceutical manufacturing client was installing nearly 100 bioreactors and small benchtop units at their single-use facility when COVID hit. The Proconex project implementation team—who was in charge of the pending DeltaV integrations—immediately went to work rethinking their project plan to determine how we could use remote technologies to pull this off, and hopefully stay on schedule. With 3 different bioreactor companies involved, in 3 different countries, requiring 3 different integrations, we had a few challenges in order to get from proof of concept to fully functional software—not to mention testing and commissioning.
